For those of you who may not know, each Monday is “Non Juan Video Monday!”

I put up a new video each week to give you insights into my life, as well as music videos, dating advice (I’m mean, sure, I don’t get THAT many dates… perhaps people should do the opposite of what I do?), and so much more!

This week’s video: So, I was walking to the store to buy myself… something (you’ll have to watch the video to see what it was), when I ran into Danielle, a.k.a. “Deena.”  She invited me to get some ice cream with her.  Next thing I know… um… well… check it out for yourself:

Hey everybody!

Just wanted to let you all know – I got my movie ticket to see Michael Jackson’s “This Is IT!” movie today!! Woo-hoo!

I’m SO excited!  I’ve been a Michael Jackson as far back as the 80s.  I remember the first time I saw one of his music videos, and thought to myself:

“Wow – that white woman can dance!”

Of course, my parents had to convince me that he was actually BLACK, but aside from that I knew one thing for sure: the man definitely had talent!

In fact, MJ is one of the reasons I dance so well!  Over the years I’ve spent many Friday nights at home by myself (ya know, date night and all… sigh…) and would practice my dance move for hours and hours, on the off-chance that some girl actually wanted to go to a school dance with me.

Don’t laugh – it actually happened one time!  This girl at my school had caught the measels about a week before our homecoming dance, and when she got back to school all the other guys had dates – except for me.  And since she didn’t want to be alone, she asked me if I would be her date!

Actually, the way she said it was: “If you show up at the dance around the same time as me, and we happen to be in line next to each other at the door, you can stand next to me as we walk in – so long as you don’t actually breathe on me.”  How romantic!

I made sure to show up a day-and-a-half early to make sure I was there when she got in line (I even missed a whole day of school… which was kinda weird, considering I was missing school while AT school waiting near where the line would be).  Sure enough, she allowed me to stand next to her until we got inside. 

I spent most of the night standing near the refreshments (I’m a sucker for free meatballs and fruit punch), but then, IT happened: a song by Michael Jackson came on – I believe it was “You Are Not Alone” – and I turned into a dancing machine!

I ran out to the dance floor and started doing all of MJ’s signature moves: the high kick, the crotch grab (which, for some reason, came naturally to me), the double body twist, and of course, the moonwalk!

Everyone who was dancing to the song stopped and looked at me in amazement.  At one point, one of the guys who was watching me shouted out: “Hey – why is he doing all this fast dancing to a ballad??” 

As for the girl who I walked in with, she walked up to me and said: “Wow, I didn’t know you could actually dance, Non Juan!” 

To this day, it’s the only compliment I’ve ever received from a girl in my entire life – all thanks to Michael Jackson!

Oh man, I can’t WAIT to see the movie! I bought two tickets - one for me and one for Larry, my pet hamster – but he already got himself a ticket.  Guess this means I’ll have to find a date for the movie – any of you girls need some Non Juan arm candy for an MJ movie?  (No, really – I have candy that’s in the shape of an arm.  Ironically, it tastes like chicken…)

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!! I can’t believe it – I, Non Juan, have a DATE tonight!!

Okay, so what had happen was… I mean, at first, I didn’t know it was happening, but I was down at the video game store last night trying out some game called “The Beatles: Rock Band” (I thought it was a game about actual beetles playing instruments in the forest – I was quite disappointed, to say the least) when, out of nowhere, this girl walks up to me and asked me if I knew where she could find a memory card for her X-box.

I turn around, took one look into her eyes… and then I said:

“Hey! I don’t work here! You’re messing up my score!”

At that point, she challenged me to a “Guitar-off” to see who could get the best score.  Even though I was new to the game, I figured I’d be able to beat her.  After all, if there’s one thing I’m good at, it’s fumbling around with things in my hand.  (Er, try not to take that the wrong way, people!)

Of course, I only knew how to get a high score on the easy level; on the other hand, this girl had the game set to “uber hard” when it was her turn, and her score was higher than Whitney Houston when she was still with Bobby Brown!

After she beat me, she turned to me and said, “Now THAT’s how you play the game!”  Stunned, I said to her:

“Hey, no fair – you must have CHEATED!”

She laughed at me, then said:

“Tell you what – how about if you and I meet up somewhere tomorrow and talk ‘video rock game’ strategies?”

Eager to learn her secrets, we agreed to meet up later tonight at a restaurant.  Then she gave me her name (Destiny) and number and told me to call her.

It wasn’t until I got home and told my best friend, Harry, about the incident… that I found out what she had REALLY been doing: asking ME out on a date!

Did you hear that?? A GIRL… actually asked ME out!!

Frankly, I don’t know how Harry was able to tell – she never explicitly said “Hey Non Juan, let’s go out on a date,” so how was I supposed to know???  Good thing I have friends that can decipher these things for me!

Anyway… so, yeah, I have a DATE tonight!  OMG OMG OMG! I… I’m so nervous! I don’t know what I’m supposed to wear! I don’t know what I’m supposed to say! I don’t know if I should wear my “Hannah Montana” boxers or a pair of depends in case I end up wetting myself from excitement!
